Passover Zeder: Online, Clergy-led, Interactive Seder on the 2nd Night

Sun March 28, 2021 at 6:00 pm

Our clergy will lead an engaging seder – a zeder if you will – for all ages. You don’t need a Haggadah. Everything will be on the screen. Everyone is encouraged to have a filled seder plate – after all a little matza and maror never hurt anyone– and glass(es) of juice or wine, but join us even if you don’t. (You may also want a pillow for relaxing, candles to light, a bowl for washing, and salt water). There will be music, relevant messages for living through the second Passover during this pandemic, and participation!

6:00 pm       The whole seder! (Actually 10 of the 15 steps to freedom!)

7:00 ish       Break for Shulchan Orech (the festive meal) – Options include a zoom room for conversation or another zoom room for music.

7:45 pm       Discussion – The rabbis will lead us in a text-based discussion to delve into a personal connection with our ancestors leaving Egypt and all the places/times that have been Mitzrayim, literally “narrow straits” and the Hebrew name for Egypt.

8:15 pm       The Zeder Re-Zooms – Singing and blessing the last four steps! Followed by more discussion and “ask the rabbi.”
