
Bagel Brunch and Speaker Series
Ted Flaum, Executive Director of the Jewish Family Service (JFS) of St. Paul, will talk to us about the future of JFS in St Paul. He will be highlighting some of JFS’s recent accomplishments, its vision for the future and areas of projected need in the community. The brunch is complimentary. All of our community is welcome to attend, hear Ted, and enjoy our delicious brunch.
About Ted:
Ted Flaum has been the Executive Director of JFS since 2014. Ted grew up in New York and California and is passionate about helping people professionally and personally. He is married to Jackie and they are raising two wonderful sons, Jacob and Gabriel. He is a member of Mount Zion Temple, Beth Jacob Congregation and Temple of Aaron.
About JFS:
Originally created by prominent leaders of St. Paul’s Jewish community in 1911, The Jewish Charities of St. Paul, JFS’s original name, was established to consolidate the various charitable efforts that were taking place to help resettle Jews in St. Paul who had fled from Czarist Russia. During its 107 years, JFS programs and services have adapted and expanded to meet the needs St. Paul’s Jewish community as well as the general community. JFS offers counseling services including a grief support group; senior service programs including senior case management, caregiver support, dementia coaching and Life Enrichment Action Program for adults 55+; employment services, and provides financial assistance.
