Building a Powerful Mount Zion Immigrant Justice Program

Wed April 4, 2018 at 7:00 pm

What MZ Has Done
The Board of Directors voted unanimously to become an immigrant justice congregation as part of the national work of the Union for Reform Judaism. This resolution came after 7 months of study, congregant input, & debate. As part of the resolution, Mount Zion also became a sanctuary supporting congregation through ISAIAH and has now helped to build a St. Paul Area Faith Coalition for Immigrant Justice.

What MZ is Doing

  • Together with the Advocates for Human Rights, Mount Zion members are part of a court observation team to monitor & support immigrant detainees facing deportation.
  • Mount Zion members who are attorneys are working with The Advocates to provide pro bono legal services to immigrants facing deportation.
  • Mount Zion members are showing up at rallies & phone banks to support immigrants in our communities together with Jewish Community Action.

We Invite You to Join Us
