On the 9th of Av, Jews fast in collective mourning over the destruction of the Temple and other disasters that have befallen the Jews. Like all our practices, the ultimate purpose is to connect more deeply with life. Today, many of us are experiencing a more global, planetary grief, with no outlets for release. We may move quickly to activism or become overwhelmed into inaction. But what if we apply the teachings of Tisha B’Av to our climate grief? Together in this session, grounded in the outdoors, we’ll honor our grief about climate change, making space for gratitude and love as the foundation for new possibilities.
