The Women of Mount Zion Temple invite you to this event led by Mount Zion’s own Julie Dean.
Through discussion and guided meditation, we will be led to draw from Jewish wisdom to bring you peace and tranquility during these troubled times and add one more recipe to your resilience toolkit. Whether or not you joined us with Leslie Coff exploring Jewish texts, each of these programs is designed to build upon each other, but also stand alone. Julie looks forward to sharing a balanced diet of soul food together!
Julie Dean blends 25 years of professional experience as a group facilitator of interpersonal dynamics with a passion for Judaism and experiential learning. She finds meaningful learning throughout the Jewish world, bringing together teachings from a diversity of modern sources with inspiration and contemplative practices from Jewish Renewal and classical texts from a wide spectrum of Jewish thinkers. As a Jewish educator, Julie leads ongoing Mussar study groups, writes curricula, facilitates workshops and retreats, and provides facilitator training. Her other involvements include writing and leading Shabbat meditations, singing in an acapella Jewish women’s choir, leading a monthly Jewish women’s spirituality group, and participating with multiple congregations in musical tefillah as a hand drummer and vocalist.
