Honoring Librarian Bob Epstein at the Bloom Library’s 95th Anniversary Celebration

Sun April 21 at 10:00 am - 11:45 am

Did you or your kids attend Mount Zion Religious School in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, or 2010s?  Have you ever checked out a book from the Bloom Library? Have you ever reached out to Mount Zion to research a question for a b’nei mitzvah/d’var torah/family history/general Jewish knowledge?

If you answered yes to any of the above, you probably have worked with Bob Epstein.  His collection knowledge, passion for Judaism, and research skills helped to maintain our library as a rich and unique resource for more than 35 years. As Librarian Emeritus, he continues to volunteer his extensive cataloging skills. The pandemic prevented us from giving him a proper thank you upon his retirement, so now is the time!

Join us for an Open House in the Bloom Library starting at 10am on Sunday April 21 for refreshments, to say hello to Bob, and to see our incredible collection. Remarks and a special presentation begin at 11:30; at 11:45, we will go to the t’filah service to honor Bob in front of the Religious School community.
