No Contact Household/Personal Items Drive for Neighborhood House

Sun July 26, 2020 at 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

As a result of Mount Zion’s food drive in late May, members of the Congregation donated 483 pounds of food and household/personal items to Neighborhood House as well as over $2,200 in monetary contributions. Thank you again for your generosity!

Neighborhood House recently contacted us stating that, due to COVID-19, there is a great need in the community for cleaning supplies, household goods, paper products, and personal care items. In response to their request for help, WMZT and the Temple Brotherhood are jointly sponsoring, and are encouraging members to participate in, a “No Contact Household/Personal Items Drive for Neighborhood House” on Sunday, July 26th, from 10 a.m. – Noon, in the Temple’s parking lot off Syndicate Ave. WMZT and Brotherhood volunteers will be available to unload donations from your car and deliver them to Neighborhood House.

The following is a list of items specifically requested by Neighborhood House. Items with an asterisk (*) are greatly desired.

Household: Paper towels, Toilet paper, Kleenex, Dish soap*, Laundry soap*, Clorox wipes*, Hand sanitizer, Cleaning spray

Personal hygiene: Shampoo, Conditioner, Bar Soap, Lotion, Body wash, Deodorant, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Dental Floss, Sunscreen, Face/hand cleansing wipes, Razors/shaving cream

Not needed: Diapers, Tampons, Pads

Other: Nonperishable food and monetary donations are always welcome (see the Temple’s website/Donate/Mitzvah Food Shelf or Neighborhood House’s website (neighb.org)).

We hope to exceed the last drive’s poundage and monetary contributions. Thank you in advance for your participation and your generosity! We will continue to arrange for additional No Contact Drives while the Temple remains closed. Please contact Sue Grupe  or Bruce Matza with any questions.
