D’var Torah by Sam Schauvaney
Sam Schauvaney is a fourth year rabbinical student and is passionate about fostering a more inclusive Judaism. She grew up at Mount Zion and is thrilled to be back for the summer as rabbinic intern.
After services, we will have a conversation about “Gender in Judaism” led by Sam Schauvaney and Rabbi Spilker. We will engage with texts from Torah, Talmud, and LGBTQ Jews today.
