Gluten-free, dairy-free options will be available.

6:00 pm: Spirited Purim service, Megillah reading and Sing-Along Shpiel
Join for a Purim-Lin-Manuel-Miranda Extravaganza featuring music from Encanto, Hamilton, and Moana! Brush up on the songs we’ll be parodying with our Purim 2022 playlist!

After the shpiel: Latke/Hamentaschen Debate!
Local comedians Elise Cole (who grew up at MZ) and Max Hornstein will debate the merits of these holiday delicacies and MZ congregant Michael Tortorello will moderate.

Max Hornstein is an up and coming stand up comedian from Minneapolis, with a comedy style that can only be described as Jewish hipster chic. Max generally likes to spend his Purim hoarding poppyseed hamantaschen from the clamoring masses.

Elise Cole works at Acme Comedy Company in Minneapolis and has opened for Doug Stanhope and Judy Gold. Soon to be mother of two boys, she’s releasing her debut comedy album summer 2022
