We’ll initially plan to meet bi-weekly via Zoom for an hour or so. ( The group can then decide if the meeting frequency/time allotted suits our needs.) Some potential ideas/segments I have for the group: Group-generated fun “best or top 10 (fill in the blank) lists; “what new music are you listening to?” trivia activities; “my brush with rock n’ roll fame;” weekly quizzes and “surprise” topics; group discussions of local music; radio station and media/technology discussions and recommendations; book/movie recommendations; sharing our personal playlists; and perhaps some special guests! Let’s see where this takes us!

Long Live Rock at the MZ patio!
Over our past meetings we’ve had fun with: doing song list “challenges” (e.g. how many song titles do you know with names in the title, weather terms in the title, colors in the title); relating who has had a rock music “brush with fame;” describing our best and worst concert experiences; reading/watching several rock ‘n roll-themed books and movies and discussing them; showing/wearing our favorite rock merchandise/ mementos; and exploring new music. For our next meeting we’re each bringing three of our favorite rock song lyrics to share with the group.
