Meditation helps us go under our intellectual defenses making it possible to experience the healing of aligning our values with our beliefs and behaviors. Academic and medical studies indicate that group meditation enhances the benefits of solitary meditation in addition to all the bio/psycho/social/spiritual benefits of mindfulness. This group aims to provide a space for people to come together in silent meditation to enhance self care and well being. At this time, the group does not include teachers of meditation nor instruction about meditation. In the spirit of community, we have no group leaders nor experts: simply facilitation to begin what hopefully can become a tradition.
