← Back to all Mount Zion Groups

This is a group open to couples, individuals, and grandparents who want a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment to discuss the issues that face a mixed-root family. We will meet four times: (1) the many facets of a mixed-roots home; (2) Life cycle events at Mount Zion; (3) Shabbat and other holiday celebrations; (4) topic of group’s choice and closing.

Jessica Griffith joined Mount Zion in 2000. She was raised in a Reform synagogue in the south suburbs of Chicago, and in 1999 married Brent Griffith, who was raised in a Congregationalist church in central Nebraska. They have two teenage sons, Adam and David. At Mount Zion, she has served as a religious school teacher, committee chair, and board member, and is currently chair of our mixed roots efforts.
