Noar Tzion – “Youth of (Mount) Zion”
Grades 4, 5, and 6
Noar Tzion is Mount Zion’s 4th-6th grade youth group. We get together about once a month after Sunday School to have fun and make connections with our Jewish peers. Last year we went apple picking, jumped at SkyZone, played at Grand Slam, went snow tubing, and had a blast at a pool party! This year we are looking forward to roller skating, going back to Grand Slam and SkyZone, and a Chanukah party. A favorite annual tradition is the Chocolate Seder we host every Passover!
Gesher- “Bridge”
Grades 7 and 8
Gesher JYG is Mount Zion’s 7th-8th grade youth group. We get together about once a month after Sunday School to have fun and make connections with other Jewish teens. Last year we had fun swimming, bowling, jumping at Sky Zone, and especially at our peer-led event! This year we are looking forward to another great peer-led event, going to Rockin’ Jump, and especially our mystery bus ride at the end of the year! A great part of being in JYG is getting to go to our first NFTY event at OSRUI to meet Jewish teens from Minnesota, Wisconsin, the Chicago area, and Canada.
SPORTY – “St. Paul Organization of Reform Temple Youth”
Grades 9 and 12
All SPORTY programs are organized and implemented by the youth group members. Events are based on broadening leadership skills, promoting social action, and developing exciting Jewish social activities. SPORTY is a member of the national reform youth organization called NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth.) Both NFTY and SPORTY events are scheduled frequently; watch your e-mails and social media for details.
