Kids Understanding and Learning At Mount Zion
MISSION STATEMENT: “Kulam” means “everybody” in Hebrew. It is Mount Zion’s belief that all children should benefit from a quality Jewish education, inclusive of their individual abilities. It is our responsibility as a Religious/Hebrew school to include all children by making a philosophical commitment to creating an environment that nurtures all children in the development of their Jewish faith through appropriate modifications in their Jewish education.
PROGRAM LEADERSHIP: Deb Lehman works with Religious School Director, Alisha Sawyer, to ensure that the needs of all our Mount Zion students are met. They work with parents/guardians and teachers to plan and prepare accommodations and modifications as needed for each student. Alisha hires, trains and oversees our advocates and Deb serves as the parent/guardian liaison and coordinates advocacy with classroom teachers and youth group advisors. Please contact Deb or Alisha to let them know how they and the faculty can meet the needs of your child!
