SPORTY

 

Noar Tzion – “Youth of (Mount) Zion”

Grades 4, 5, and 6

Noar Tzion focuses on social action/tikkun olam related to children’s issues, especially homelessness.  Our monthly activities combine a social and social action component.  Noar Tzion is staffed by our Youth Group Advisor and a team of high school mentors.

Gesher- “Bridge”

Grades 7 and 8

Gesher is a wonderful way to prepare middle school students for involvement in SPORTY and NFTY during high school. Social events are scheduled approximately every other month.  Gesher’s activities are staffed by our Youth Group Advisor and a team of high school mentors.

SPORTY – “St. Paul Organization of Reform Temple Youth”

Grades 9 and 12

All SPORTY programs are organized and implemented by the youth group members. Events are based on broadening leadership skills, promoting social action, and developing exciting Jewish social activities. SPORTY is a member of the national reform youth organization called NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth.) Both NFTY and SPORTY events are scheduled frequently; watch your mail for envelopes or e-mails marked “SPORTY.”
