  • LearnMount Zion provides learning opportunities for both young and old alike. In both informal and formal settings, study is the cornerstone of our experience. Our religious school, adult learning program called MaZAL, and the resources of our library offer a variety of options.  In addition, there are numerous informal learning opportunities for our young people in the Temple.

  • PrayOur Temple is a warm and inclusive place.  We welcome you to join us in worship, either as part of one of our daily services, Shabbat services or during the Holy Days and Festivals. During the Shabbat worship service, the combination of the liturgy and sermons, together with music and choirs, allows our congregation refreshment and learning. We welcome you to join us.

Pray

Our synagogue is a welcoming and vibrant spiritual home where worship services play a vital role in both personal and communal prayer. Mount Zion’s services provide an atmosphere of refreshment, introspection and learning through a combination of liturgy, music, and sermons or teachings. People of all ages are invited to engage on their level. We hope you will join us in worship, either as part of one of our Shabbat services, daily services, or during the Holy Days and Festivals.

Our Friday evening and Saturday morning services are open to all. Before or after services, a representative of our Board of Directors (look for people wearing name badges) or one of our members will be glad to answer questions about services and the prayer books we use. No advance notice is required to attend services, unless you are part of larger group. If you are looking to schedule a tour, we ask for you to set up an appointment.

Music

Music is at the heart of Mount Zion’s services and culture. We cherish the treasure trove that is our Jewish musical inheritance, celebrate the variety of styles of music that we can call “ours,” and enjoy the latest tunes being written, including some we have commissioned specifically for our congregation.
